Dear Friends of the Coalinga Skate Park,

As you are well aware, we have been closed since November 1, 2008 due to rectification of mandated electrical connection issues at the Skate Park. required work has taken alot longer than we anticipated. It now appears that the required tests and final inspections will occur over the next few weeks and we hope to open sometime during the month of April 2009. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

Important Reminder - helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads are mandatory when using this Skate Park. If upon staff arrival at opening time or during the open period of the skate park, if any one is present without the required safety equipment, the skate park will be closed. Each person bears the responsibility of abiding by the rules so that the facility can be enjoyed by all.

Kyle Wells - A True Hero

Kyle Wells won a new skateboard at the Coalinga Skate Park grand opening in September 2008, but noticed a young boy, who didn't have a board, admiring all the other skaters. Kyle decided to give Jack the prized board he just won. All the kids congratulated Kyle for doing a good deed for the day. We need more role models like Kyle to teach us all a lesson in giving.

Way to go Kyle!
